‘‘Renforcement des capacités institutionnelles de l’Economic Development Board de Madagascar – Projets de Digitalisation des services du Guichet Unique’’.
Africa RISE, the Economic Development Board (EDB) of Mauritius and the Regional Multidisciplinary Centre of Excellence (RMCE) organised a 3-day peer-to-peer learning event from 28 to 30 June 2023. EDB Madagascar has approached its counterpart in Mauritius, Africa RISE and the RMCE to understand the prerequisites for digitalization as well as to learn from the Mauritius experience.
With a view to digitalizing their one-stop shop, EDB Madagascar met various stakeholders in the ICT sector, learnt from the existing IT systems at EDB Mauritius and participated in a regional webinar with other countries. The webinar was organized and moderated by Africa Rise in collaboration with RMCE and EDB Mauritius on the 29th of June where speakers spoke about the experience of Botswana, Eswatini, Rwanda, Namibia, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Madagascar in the areas of digitalization. The webinar panelists thus explained some of the key learnings including the need for streamlining of operations, the aspect of change management in the process of digitalization, the need for stakeholder engagement, the need for training to prepare the ground for digitalization and the new trends in digitalization amongst others. The webinar was attended by stakeholders from across Africa.
