{"id":236,"date":"2021-01-20T05:18:08","date_gmt":"2021-01-20T05:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/goc2020.govmu.org\/rmce\/?p=236"},"modified":"2021-01-20T05:18:11","modified_gmt":"2021-01-20T05:18:11","slug":"training-programme-on-energy-access-for-sustainable-human-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmce.govmu.org\/rmce\/?p=236","title":{"rendered":"Training Programme on &#8220;Energy Access for Sustainable Human Development&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>1 &#8211; Introduction<br><\/strong>The International Centre for Human Development (IC4HD), New Delhi, India in collaboration with the Regional Multidisciplinary Centre for Excellence (RMCE), Mauritius with support from UNDP Mauritius and the Government of Mauritius organized a three day training programme on Energy Access for Sustainable Human Development for key stakeholders such as senior government officials, policymakers, civil society and financial institutions of select countries in Africa in November 2013. The training programme was held at Le Labourdonnais Hotel, Port Louis, Mauritius, from 19-21 November 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"328\" src=\"https:\/\/goc2020.govmu.org\/rmce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/EnergAccess-11.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rmce.govmu.org\/rmce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/EnergAccess-11.jpg 488w, https:\/\/rmce.govmu.org\/rmce\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/EnergAccess-11-300x202.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 488px) 100vw, 488px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2 &#8211; Objectives<br><\/strong>The main objective of the programme was to enhance the capacity of the stakeholders to deal with challenges related to energy access while recognizing its linkages with human development.\u00a0 The training programme aimed to develop a community of HD practitioners and energy access promoters in Africa to enhance people\u2019s choices.
